Shaila Van Zant

As a veterinary technician, my mission is to be a strong advocate for animals, give them a voice and provide them with the best care possible. I constantly push myself to learn more about veterinary medicine. My favorite part of the job is performing lab work—I love diving into science to figure out exactly why an animal is sick and finding the best way we can help them heal. Building genuine, trusting relationships with our clients is also incredibly important to me.

Right now, I am finishing up my degree in Biology at Arizona Western College. My ultimate goal is to take everything I’m learning here and pursue my dream of going to vet school. When I’m not at the clinic or studying, you can usually find me working out at the gym, walking my dog, or playing my bass.
